Adela Campallo

Adela  Campallo was borne at the sevillian neiborhood of Cerro del Águila within a traditional flamenco family. As a matter of fact is in the group formed by her family: Familia Campallo, where she first steped on a stage at the age of nine. She received teachings os masters like José Galván and Manolo Marín. Soon she found the opportunity to show her skills and got the award at the Concurso de Jóvenes Intérpretes de la Bienal de Sevilla 2002. From that time she became soloist of the Company of Antonio Canales.

In 2004, she presented “Campallería” with her brother and also dancer Rafael Campallo, at the Sala Joaquín Turina de Sevilla and the Festival de Jerez 2003 and Japón. Little after she presented herself at the Teatro Central de Sevilla,  with great success of public and critics.

Adela Campallo formed part of the Company of Javier Latorre in the show “Rinconete y cortadillo”, at the Gran Teatro de Córdoba, Teatro Lope de Vega de Sevilla, and Teatro Villamarta de Jerez, among other places.

She also collaborated with the Company of Farruquito in “Alma Vieja” at the Festival of Mont De Marsan 2003 and with the Company of Andrés Marín in “Más allá del tiempo”.

Adela Campallo, is also a recognized teacher of flamenco and has given many workshops all around the world and also recorded a didactic collection “Ritmo Flamenco Rythm”.

In 2006 the sevillian dancer took part in the “Flamenco Festival USA” and in the Festival de Jerez with the show Gala de Andalucía.

In that same year she opened the “festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Bogotá” Colombia with her own show “Bailaora”.

In the Festival de Teatro Clásico de Mérida took part of “Sangre de Edipo” with Antonio Canales and Lola Greco.

She is a principal rol of MEDEA, under the direction of Pilar Tavora, first shown in Greece, July of 2007.

The 28th of February of 2009 she performs at the Teatro Villamarta in the Festival Flamenco de Jerez with Juan diego and Ángel Muñoz.
